Q: What is colostrum?

A: DiaResQ® includes bovine (cow) colostrum, which is the first milk that is produced by cows after they calve. It is rich in nutrients, immune factors, and protective proteins. Colostrum also has an abundance of immunoglobulin IgG antibodies, supporting intestinal health.

The colostrum used in DiaResQ® is naturally produced from healthy cows who are free from antibiotics, hormones, and BSE.

 

Q: Why are the eggs beneficial?

A: Hen eggs are a source of high-quality, bioavailable protein, and immunoglobulin IgY antibodies, which help support intestinal health.

DiaResQ’s® eggs come from hens raised without antibiotics, hormones, or additives.

A: FDA regulations classify products into different categories. DiaResQ® is categorized as a Food for Special Dietary Use. Foods for Special Dietary Use provide specific nutrients that are proven to be beneficial to people who have a physical, physiological, pathological, or other condition, like diarrhea.

 

Q: Has the FDA approved DiaResQ®?

A: FDA approval is not required before a Food for Special Dietary Use may be sold. However, the FDA has regulatory oversight and responsibility for the safety of all food and drug products sold in the United States. PanTheryx is required by law to ensure that all ingredients used in our products are safe, and to have substantiation for all claims made about DiaResQ®.

A: DiaResQ® contains colostrum (dairy) and egg, which can be allergens for certain sensitive individuals.

A: DiaResQ® does not contain any artificial or synthetic colors. DiaResQ® does contain the artificial sweetener sucralose. This ingredient is in our product so that the consumer product experience – especially with children – is an easier, more enjoyable one.

Q: Can I consume DiaResQ® with prescription medicines?

A: If you are currently taking prescription medicines that may not allow consuming dairy or egg, please consult your doctor to see if DiaResQ® is right for you.

 

Q: How much DiaResQ® should I take?

A: Most people experience fast relief. Consume one packet per day (mix with water as directed). You may continue to take DiaResQ® longer than that if needed. If diarrhea persists or gets worst, see your doctor.

 

Q: Can I consume too much DiaResQ®?

A: DiaResQ® is a food, however, we recommend consuming DiaResQ® as directed.

 

Q: Are there any concerns with consuming DiaResQ® dry?

A: DiaResQ® is not intended to be consumed dry. It is designed to be mixed with clean water before consuming.

 

Q: What types of liquids can DiaResQ® be mixed with?

A: We recommend mixing DiaResQ® with water.

 

Q: Can DiaResQ® be consumed hot?

A: No, DiaResQ® should be mixed with cool, clean water.

 

Q: How much water do I need?

A: Approximately 30 ml (1 oz) of clean or boiled water is needed to mix DiaResQ®. Each package comes with a cup for both measuring and mixing. This ensures that the proper amount of water is added before mixing.

 

Q: Should I shake or stir it?

A: Using the cup and lid provided, add 30 ml (1 oz) of clean or boiled water and the contents of 1 packet to the cup, place the lid on top, and then shake it for 1 minute. Drink immediately.

 

Q: Once mixed do I need to drink DiaResQ® right away?

A: Yes, we recommend consuming the product immediately after mixing.

 

Q: Does DiaResQ® need to be consumed with food?

A: DiaResQ®, a food, does not need to be consumed with other foods. However, we recommend resuming a normal diet as soon as possible.

 

Q: Does DiaResQ® address dehydration?

A: DiaResQ® is not intended to replace Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS). We recommend using ORS as needed to replace the fluid and electrolytes lost during diarrhea.

 

Q: Can DiaResQ® be consumed with ORS (Oral Rehydration Solutions)?

A: Yes, DiaResQ® should be consumed in addition to ORS (Oral Rehydration Solutions) to address dehydration which may accompany diarrhea.

 

Q: What is DiaResQ® not intended for?

A: DiaResQ® is not intended to address chronic diarrhea, or diarrhea due to the overindulgence in food or alcohol. It is also not intended to address heartburn, gas, or upset stomach.

 

Q: When should I contact my doctor? 

A: If there is no improvement after 24 hours, a doctor should be consulted. Medical care should be sought immediately if any of the following warning signs are present:

  • Temperature over 101° F
  • Signs of dehydration (such as thirst, dark urine, less frequent urination, listlessness, or irritability)
  • Blood in the stool
